The All England Lawn Tennis Association (AELTC) has worked with the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) for a number of years, to understand how guests with disabilities experience The Championships. Disability confidence is a critical aspect of delivering a consistent and positive experience for all guests, so they turned to Ethos Farm for support. The goal was to equip AELTC’s colleagues with the knowledge and understanding to assist guests who have a disability, through an online learning programme.
Ethos Farm worked with AELTA and QEF to develop an interactive learning module which instilled the following learning objectives:
The intention of the programme was to support all colleagues to think about the experience from the perspective of guests with a disability, and to recognise how the environment can present challenges to guests. The programme showcased tools that have been developed to support guests with a disability and gave team members the confidence to engage with guests who may require additional assistance. Guest satisfaction scores on the support they received from AELTC teams increased significantly on 2023, by +12%.
